Hi, I’m Marc.

I like understanding how things work—and figuring out why they don’t.

I’m a DevOps Engineer at Swisscom in Switzerland. I work across software, platforms and networks, solving problems that need thought rather than simply following a predefined process.

Currently studying for a part-time Global Online MBA at Warwick Business School.

What keeps me curious

I still enjoy the process of working something out.

Breaking a problem down, experimenting, getting stuck and eventually finding a solution that works is still a large part of what I enjoy about engineering.

A little more about me

A few problems I’ve worked through

Three projects, each with its own story.

These pages begin with the verified, public-safe details. I’ll add the fuller challenges, decisions, collaboration and lessons from my own notes—without filling the gaps with invented anecdotes.

Project note 01

A platform migration at scale

Helping a new routing platform reach production

Taking a next-generation virtual routing platform through production readiness and supporting migration activity spanning more than 1,500 enterprise customers.

Project note 02

From requirements to a working idea

Turning a complex network brief into a testable solution

Translating complex enterprise network requirements into orchestration architecture, migration concepts, APIs, CI/CD integration and operational delivery.

Project note 03

Better tools for real work

Making everyday engineering work easier

Improving delivery workflows through CI/CD modernisation, MCP servers, LLM integrations and practical engineering automation.

Where the curiosity led

From software engineering to the systems around it.

I started with software and gradually moved into work that connects code, platforms, networks and production. The problems have grown, but the part I enjoy has stayed much the same: understanding how the pieces fit and helping make them work.

  1. 2022

    Software engineering foundation

Completed my Software Engineering (Honours) degree at the University of Sydney and joined Swisscom.

  2. Today

    DevOps Engineer III

Working across production platforms, enterprise networking, migrations and software engineering.

  3. Alongside it

    Still learning

Alongside my work at Swisscom, I am completing a part-time Global Online MBA at Warwick Business School.

Away from engineering

Challenge, new places and weekends on the water.

CrossFit, travel and boating are three very different ways of pushing myself, staying curious and sharing time with people I care about.

01

CrossFit

A simple challenge: turn up, work hard and see what you can do.

02

Travel

New cultures, unfamiliar food and a reminder of how much people have in common.

03

Boating

Weekends outside, on the water, with people I care about.
